I get 8 ms latency in pings to Google.  Not 40 ms.   Google has fiber to ISPs and does not use public Internet.

Should help keep older games alive.   Like older video on YouTube..

Google has 7500+ POPs connected by fiber to their data center. Gets me 8 ms pings.

Do not agree. Google has been doing Chromebooks for years in a prolong fight for share.

Google having 7500+ POPs connected by fiber to Google data centers gets me 8 ms pings. This is a huge competitive advantage for Google that nobody else has.

People insisted that music streaming would never work. Then the same for video. Now gaming. How silly. This will be wildly successful. Just like so many other things from Google. Heck stat today YouTube is 37% of all mobile traffic. Over 1.8 billion hours consumed a day.

Duplex is out.  Just maybe not your city?

Hey Google is fine.

The issue is they are recommending something giving you a worse UX.

I switched from Windows to Mac years ago but now using a pixel book that I just love. I am now home and could not see changing again.

But that is just dumb.  Should work how it does with Google photos and Apple should fix.

Google photos would be perfect for you use case.

I now have a pixel 2 XL and use Google photos.   Much better solution.   Appe iCloud is just using Google cloud so it is always going to be better to use Google and remove the middle man.

No mic mute button on the HomePod. Have to use phone, launch app, three screens deep to unmute Homepod, no security on Homepod so anyone can listen to my last message, no visual cue on the Homepod.

Google photos blows away and other option. Plus it allows you to see your iPhone x photos in 4k on the largest screen in your house. We have a 4k Chromecast. Plus seamlessly integrates with the Google Home.

Disappointing. Google should have got more. Assume this will be in addition to the 9% they already own of Uber.

Be the worse time to switch with Google just finding Spectre and putting the mitigation in Chrome. Google has now found all the big security issues including Broadpwn, Cloudflare, Meltdown, Spectre, Heartbleed and others and going to give you just a far more secure solution.

At this point would recommend the Google home over the Echo. Had the Echo since launched in 2014 and now several Google homes. The echo requires more rigid language or basically commands versus the Google home natural language for most things. Makes interacting with the Google home a lot easier than the Echo.

Wow that is a perfect way to describe it. Ford to a Tesla. Think I will use that in the future.

Get on Reddit and check out the subreddits for the two. It is why I chose the Google WiFi over the Eero and been veryhappy with the decision.
