Well, fair enough and I guess just, "Agree to disagree." I agree that Jane was flatly unreal, but her pure, unadulterated selfishness and venality made her a comedy gem, to my mind. Patrick's appeal was somewhat similar: Just how wonderfully direct and focused he was on his wants, by sharp contrast to Jeff and Steve.
Really? I couldn't stand Jeff; he was just such a pathetic sad-sack of neuroses that I spent every moment with him in flinch-territory. No, the real standout there was the bundle of barely concealed sociopath impulses, Jane, followed closely by Patrick.
