@kernel panic: good question. Generally, your family or trusted friend will have to submit it. In the absence of an advance directive/DNR, the hospital will do everything medically necessary to keep you alive.

@UnderLoK: I had a chef from a 2-diamond restaurant give me a recipe once, and even took me in the kitchen to show it cooking. All because I asked...

@toolverine: When you're in the shape I'm in, even walking fast is a plus :)

I bought a treadmill. Brand new. Even paid for someone else to come set it up.

I have a two year old and live in a neighborhood full of kids. FAIL.

Where does the table saw go?

@Daniel Erickson: Thanks for the link Daniel. My wife does not want GTDGmail cluttering up her Gmail account.

What do people think of putting links to LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter in the resume header? I'm very careful to stick to bland topics in my profiles: Sports, food, general interest. There's nothing there that I would be worried about an employer seeing.

I am a MBA student while working full time for a local business organization. I like to say that I go to school at night and get educated at work. The best thing about a MBA is that it is a generalist degree. The wost thing about a MBA is that is a generalist degree.

I use the Red & Black notebooks, graphically ruled, spiral bound. Everyone comments on them. For some reason, women really love them.

I have to vote for keyboard shortcuts and automating tasks. I noticed a lot of people mentioning GTD and I'm not surprised. I tried it a few years ago before I knew about the bloglove it gets. It didn't work then. I came back to it and it works great for me now. Then again, I'm managing a demanding job, earning

I use them to hold spices or other ingredients for cooking. Easy to use and clean. Just spoon out the spices you need on a spare lid, tilt over the pot or pan at the right time, wipe with a cloth or paper towel. Done. For ingredients, I do have to clean it afterwards.

I used to be a cook/waitperson in a diner many years ago. Every week, this group of 5 men would come in, order coffee and a couple of things for the table. As soon as they were done, everyone threw in a $20 and they left. I never even brought them a check, which, in any event, was usually less than $20 in total.

It's that women don't need to know or shouldn't know this stuff. It's that men SHOULD know all of the above. Women, just be glad you don't have to worry about explaining to your neighbors and the cops why you have a massive oil spill in your driveway because you tried to change the oil.

I just twist the lid.

How does Mint make money? Does it cost you less than a pad, a pencil and a cheap calculator?

Methane is an even bigger problem than carbon when it comes to global warming, and livestock farting is a major contributor. Therefore, please view each steak that I eat as a bovine offset. Furthermore, I ask that each of you buy me a steak so we can remove even more methane from the atmosphere. I ask you, a humble

Everyone wondering how to do the cuffs: Open up the cuff so it lies flat on the board. Then press it and starch it. It will crease correctly when you close the cuff.

I use a paper notbook. Old skool, but it has never failed me. Every IT system I use breaks down because I can't always input things right away.

I use a separate Email address for all regular mailings, which then go into a virtual "reading" folder (except for Tuesday Morning Quarterback, of course). That eliminates 25 percent of Email clutter. For another 40 percent, I use the tele-o-phone to break out of the long, irrelevant Email chain. A quick conference
