That was not my take on Jackie at all. To me, the film is transformative because it forces views to look beyond the fairytale the public fantasizes about and instead reveals a deeply layered woman in the spotlight of history. Natalie Portman was a revelation in Jackie.

“Turns out, that wasn’t even the real Howard Hesseman!...And also, way less boy-girl than the box art would’ve lead you to believe. Personal disappointment.”

And in fewer than 10 years, all of Gen X.

Funny supporting Affleck (Good Will Hunting, Extract) is by far the best Affleck, so this has me excited. I’m hoping this dude is essentially the 14th Century version of his character in Mallrats.

I love both antman movies, and a big reason is how much “smaller” the stakes are.

Finally! They had time for Lindsey Buckingham!

I’m hoping Glenn Howerton can finally reprise his role as Corey Howard, struggling magician.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

Completely agree. Brosnan is probably the weakest of the Bonds for me because he doesn’t seem to add anything of his own to it (even Lazenby was the romantic Bond, even if that’s more down to the story he had than his acting choices). He looked exactly how you would expect Bond to look and was a nice balance of

it’s back to the 80's/90's for the anime dub vs sub war....

You might be correct if not for the fact that Julia Louis-Dreyfus is still very much alive.

Is Mac really into the Charlotte Hornets this season??

I disagree. A good actor for the role can transform bad scripts. See Star Wars OT actors. The script, or rather the dialogue and scenes with the actors, were almost as bad as anything else in the Star Wars franchise. But you had capable actors that understood their roles pretty well. To the point that they insisted on

If you’re forced to choose whether someone will help a homeless person on the verge of freezing to death, always vote “no.”

He was a great Batman who deserved better movies to be Batman in. And I still maintain that, as disappointing as BvS was, the scene where he takes down the kidnappers is the best filmed version of how Batman fights groups of goons.

I’m not entirely unconvinced this series was not conceived by Ryan, BJ Novak’s character from The Office.

Excuse me, that’s Reba’s Steve Howey

Unfortunately I think Michael J. Fox’s Parkinson’s is getting worse. I think he’s mostly retired from acting now. https://www.today.com/popculture/michael-j-fox-says-he-retiring-acting-t199843

Johnson reminds me of Bruce Willis—there’s always a winking reserve that is conscious of everything being a performance. He’s still in the ring with an audience, if you will, at all times. So he signals more than he embodies at times.
