Did you read the case at all? I see a lot of outrage in this thread and not a lot of factual information about the case. The reporting by Jezebel is, of course, also pretty biased. This idea that he was “stalking” them I see in the comments is insane - he mentioned a bar that the girls were at because they geotagged

That’s the galling part of this case (and the ways it’s being presented in spaces like Jez): the two accusers were behaving the same way if not worse than the accused and then drug him through a multi-year criminal proceeding when they didn’t like the taste of their own medicine

Exactly true. Unfortunately people like the author here who feel that Elliott should’ve been punished are the ones who hold back any action against REAL online stalkers, harassers and their ilk - when you demand action on something unreasonable, it makes your reasonable claims look invalid.
