Yeah it totally changes the meaning and experience of the movie. Obviously the movie is silly, but it’s fun, and a full training montage is part of that fun. When it made this large leap in the US version, the entire thing just seemed ludicrous afterwards.

If you can, watch the international version. It was the “director’s cut”, i.e. the version Besson wanted to put out, but they cut out about 25 minutes of scenes that didn’t test well here in the US. the additional scenes are not only fun because they show Leon training Matilda, but it also helps to legitimize her all…

far from it. dont like those “fans” either. I just dont like “weird”, off-kilter, based rap. Tyler the Creator and Earl Sweatshirt bore the absolute fuck out of me. I like melody, synthesized, bass heavy beats. Grew up on independent Bay Area rap, G-Funk, Country Rap Tunes (Screwston, a la your burner name).

I’ve seriously never understood the hype. I havent heard one song by anyone affiliated with them that I liked. Then again, I like shit that flows.
