And that is why you got fired, Mr. Oates.

I didn’t even see the goal as it happened; I was just looking at Boyle down and out in the corner and didn’t expect OV to make that good of a play with the clock winding down.

My problem is that it stifles new beers from entering the market easily. Smaller breweries might not be able to adjust their ABV’s like that. And it makes it more difficult to market a new product when it is only sold at a state owned store.

The lettuce and tomato were an affront to the plant kingdom, of course, but at least this gentle nod toward healthful eating wasn’t undermined by ...gratuitous cheez squirtz.

Interesting post. But I still have a few questions. Such as:

Yea, apparently it is Utah and 4 other states that have similar laws about beer in supermarkets. Heck, I live in Pennsylvania and you can’t buy beer in a supermarket anyway unless they have a separate entrance which also serves hot food.

It is true. I said beers are capped at 3.2% ABW which is roughly 4.0% ABV. BudCoorsMiller beers are typically 4.2%. That is over the limit for Utah. So they make special beer just for sale in Utah and 4 other states.

Apparently, it is is other states as well. Minnesota, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado have similar laws about beer that is sold in supermarkets.

Beer in the supermarket and most bars is also capped at 4% ABV/ 3.2ABW in Utah. Anything above that is sold at a state owned liquor store or a restaurant with a special license.

Yes. I agree that plural nouns use plural verbs forms. But in American English, collective nouns use singular verb forms.

Yes.

Barcelona are is unreal right now.

Welcome Nats fans! We have a special guest in tonight’s Presidents Race. Our 5th contestant tonight is a concussed Mats Zuccarello. He’s wearing a Rangers jersey and Phillies Phanatic pants. Let’s see if the ice skates slow down his running. Ohh look at that, it appears he is trying to throw hot dogs into the crowd.

Do you feel as though there is a chance a concussed Mats Zuccarello gets on a bus the Chinatown bus to DC tonight and tries to play in that game? Or possibly try to ref the game?

Are you the team doctor?

It’s amazing when you see that extremely high level player when he is still in the minors. You see the guys that if they work hard, they might make a 3rd line or 2nd line in the NHL. I remember seeing Jay Beagle in the minors. And you could see the talent.

They are calling him “Katy Perry” because they practically have the same name. 3 out of 4 syllables in their names are the same. And they start with the same sound. The chant is also to remind Corey Perry that he is not as famous as Katy Perry.

Yea. It is sexist to call the Eagles “Ea-girls” and the Cowboys “Cowgirls”.

Corey Perry is also worth millions and excels in his field.
