Thanks. I didn't know there was an actual rule about it. I live in Philly. So I can't afford regular season games. I usually make it to 2-3 preseason games a year. You get to see the star players but only pay 20 bucks. It's like seeing a blended NHL-AHL game.

Yea, they are warm-up games. But because of the line changing nature of hockey, the top star players still can see significant ice time. During a typical NHL game, 20-25 players participate in every game. So the top players still get worked into the lineup.
