Echols lied in a purportedly factual opinion piece, though, about the plea and how it came about. Shouldn't he be called on it? And if he is lying about how his plea went down, why would you believe him about anything else? The dude has run one major con here and largely preyed on people's ignorance about the legal

The Callahan website has been suspended. It's probably the best thing to happen to Echols since now he can lie with impunity and not be fact-checked easily.

It is remarkable you can read both the introduction and Echols' opinion piece and not realize his guilt remains legally a fact and factually a likelihood.
