the 3.4 was zyteks engine. Used well before the Nissan p2 engine. Several years before. Zytek AND oreca prepped the Nissan lmp2 engines, which as you said were Nissan gt500 engines. Which wasn’t based on the zytek engine. And from the articles it is mostly based on the 3.4 zytek, so where do you get it’s a development…

From my understanding the Gibson engine was an entirely new engine, not built of off the old Nissan design.

The Gibson v8 is in no relation to the Nissan engine. Different engines.

The sole Aston running in imsa is by a country mile the most silent car. You can’t hear the engine due to the current muffler on the car.

What about the Gibson v8 in the standard lmp2 cars. Sounded great in person, and can hear it anywhere on track.
