That just looks like a pre rendered cutscene to show off the GC’s power....of which there were many that year including some for Banjo-Kazooie, a Pokemon dance party and even a Diddy Kong Racing sequel. None of these had actual gameplay or real playable demos unfortunately.

Not possible. They’re distributing it as a patch file, which requires a game ROM to be patched.

For once the modders did it right; don’t say anything until it’s released, and it’ll float through the internet even if Nintendo crushes the original source. Better than I can say than most of these groups that put out a video before they’re anywhere near finished.

This is not a live service game, it’s an alpha you have to pay absurd amounts of money to participate in.

Meanwhile Elite: Dangerous has been out in full-retail for 7 years as of next month, despite being just as ambitious except in scale... Because instead of one or two sad planetary systems, Elite has a 1:1 simulation of the entire Milky Way Galaxy’s 400,000,000,000+ star systems.

If any Star Citizen weirdos come in here saying iT Is OuT, and you’re talking about the empty/broken modules that are currently playable, I will turn to dust. 

Was thinking about this the other day. I don't understand why Nintendo has done nothing with f-zero since the cube. Starfox too. Surprised they've never revisited waverace or pilotwings. I don't get it. 

closest I have is custom tracks from the 64DD F-Zero expansion. Which is fun in its own right but not quite the same. :(
