I suspect that this music video took quite a lot of work. If being provocative in a way that leads to both enormous popularity and enormous controversy was easy, more people would do it.

To me, the issue is that he has an outsized level of dame despite having released much in the way of product. I’m seeing that more and more with these viral stars - they have maybe one or two songs left on deck but they put so much work into their one big song and don’t have a plan for after that. Like, i really hope…
His identity is already gonna be viewed as controversial and obnoxious by many, so why not take advantage of it?
What would his ancestors, Lil Nas I thru IX think of this?
For what it’s worth, she was my cousin (on her mother’s side), and while I never got to know her well, in the interactions we did have she was always extremely sweet and gracious. I’ll miss her both as a person and as one of the funniest actresses I’ve ever seen.
I’ll take a little bit of solace in knowing she passed at home, instead of in some bar-less hospital…
Man, Antz just got dark.
Time will tell, Fucktoy. Time will tell.
I can’t take that picture seriously, but good luck to him.

Woody Allen did not adopt Soon-Yi. Soon-Yi was adopted by Mia Farrow and Andre Previn. That’s why her name is Soon-Yi Previn. I’m not defending Woody Allen, but you should get your facts straight.

Willeford definitely does not give his female characters a lot of definition but that’s generally in line with his male characters’ perspectives, so it doesn’t bother me. (The book does have that hilarious scene where Figuera is going off about some…
30 years! That was back before there were people!
For me I just get sucked into the pure cinema for cinema’s sake of DePalma with those erotic thrillers he made—Dressed to Kill being the quintessential one. That gallery cruising scene is just brilliant film making. But I’m not gonna even try to defend other aspects of the film...
(Random odd sorta related fact. At one…
I think that’s bit rough. It’s an opinion piece by someone who’s life was directly and negatively affected by this film.
I can’t be the only person who saw that announcement and went, “Who?”
This is such a distraction when they should be finishing up production on Taxi Driver II.
Who Lollipops the Lollipop Guild?
Oh, most of these examples were issues that were talked about when it came out. This perspective is NOT one that you can dismiss as modern “wokeness.” Even Mad Magazine’s parody (March 1979 issue) explicitly called them out and it was directed at possibly the most immature, dismissive of women’s and consent issues…
File this under who gives a shit.
