I agree totally. I lived in Austin, Texas for a few years and he was revered like a God. Why? Because he was the only director they managed to churn out. He's just a symbol of Austin pride, but I think deep down everyone must know he's just meh.

In all honesty. I can't stand his films. I think they're boring, condescending, bland and juvenile.
