Maybe. Really?
It's a little late to "c'mon" Anthony Hopkins.
It would've been damn interesting to see him try his hand at it. What I love is that in the years since, he's implied in interviews that George Lucas describing the plot made his head spin, which is pretty funny. Really, David? Wookies are just too weird for YOU?
I dunno, I feel like his rustiness is more of a factor than people like to consider. The Lucy/Andy scenes seem like attempts at conventional comedy to me. That they don't completely work may be an intentional act of subversion, but I think the real reason is more mundane.

I'm sorry to see it go, but I'd rather praise Netflix for giving us two seasons rather than condemn them for canceling it. NOBODY else would have sprung for even one.
Stay on your side of the wall, Canuck.
The fuckers couldn't even be bothered to cast Edward Furlong as Steve, like God intended.
IT COUNTS FOR EVERYTHING!
The movies completely failed to capture the essence of the beefy main guy, or that other beefy main guy in a police uniform, or the two girls, one of whom was somebody's sister or something. On the other hand, I think the films did well by the games' main villain, Agent Smith.
People tend to think best of movies which don't exist. Leonard Parts 1-5 would have been masterpieces, I just know it.
Why!
I feel like the show's pacing is letting down Lucy and Andy almost as much as the writing. The performers themselves seem to be on their game, but drawing out EVERY scene… as… much… as… possible… really kills their comedic timing. The chocolate bunny scene, for instance, is something that could have been in the…
I'm kinda scared that the new season, which is supposedly focused on aging, is going to give her Alzheimers or something.
Only Star Wars nerds hold grudges THAT long after seeing a movie. And as we all know, Lynch is no Star Wars nerd,
Your attitude presupposes that animation is a fundamentally less valid form compared to live action photography. I don't agree with that assumption whatsoever. The flip side is to say that American Gods took more care with this segment, seeing as how they had to construct every element frame-by-frame. The form is not…
People keep saying things like how beautiful it was, but to me, it felt like Lynch making fun of such moments from the original show.
