I think you've put the reality of the situation, in most cases, more accurately and fairly than the post or any of these other comments thereto.

It's interesting to me that this post does not really step outside the context of this woman's life and death and evaluate the situation.

Well, I certainly wasn't expecting you to proffer a cite with your original comment - it's a blog comment, not a policy paper, as you rightly say. Just to have a factual basis for your comment if asked.

No it's not. The gist of her comment was clear. The last sentence amounts to just about nothing by comparison.

Yeah, I know what you mean. This comment format leaves a bit to be desired. Cheers.

No, I haven't. Your description of what occurs therein is not surprising, and not strongly probative of CourtneyShane's assertion. First, it's women in the process of being trained. Second, it's those untrained women being opposed by instructors, right? Third, you said 'weapon' not gun - and a gun is whole new

It wasn't directly toward her. It was a response to your request to Vul that he provide a cite.

I haven't commented in support of this woman. I just asked CourtneyShane to support her assertion.

I didn't say that you didn't want another person to cite. I just said *I'd* rather see CourtneyShane cite first.

I reviewed the link (thanks for posting a specific page from that cite this time, btw).

Sorry, CourtneyShane - I'm not stalking you but I came across your comment here as I was responding to ZhiBaChu myself.

Two things came to mind when I read your comment:

I'd first like to see Courtneyshane cite her source for a '(significant) likelihood' that one's gun would be 'taken away and used against you.' Haha, what a crock. Significant likelihood? More like, virtually never.

Ha everything about your comment was enjoyable.

Thank you for this. Policy decisions, and indeed almost any decision, should be rooted in reason.

"(Significant) likelihood"? On what do you base that?

    Did she say that?

    They could share clothes!

Oohhhh wowww. I had forgotten about that. Excellent choice.
