I’ve seen ‘em run at autocross events, by very capable drivers. Was not even remotely impressed. It’s a 4500+ pound car on fairly narrow 245 tires. It doesn’t matter how low all that weight sits, that is NOT a recipe for good handling.

both of which would compromise handling.

Nothing magical about it. A 2014 base Mustang GT with zero options and currently mild weight reduction sitting at 3483 lbs as weighted at an SCCA Nationals event.

that happy middle ground where everyone can just get along

The average person won’t have a gun to begin with.

I regularly drive a car with 315 BFG Rival S tires and 520hp. I have zero problems spinning the tires in first or second, and I absolutely love it. My car also weighs over a thousand pounds less than the Hellcat, and this spring I’ll be working on removing another 100+ pounds from it.

the facts of the case as presented by the lawyers should be what matters the most.

Not all of them:

You won’t be out any money (you’ll just have higher premiums).

On a boat? Nobody.

It’s not only the production costs that need to be covered by the sale of a new car, but also all of the design, development, testing, and tooling costs, which are quite significant. For a model that only sells thousands of units, that means a significant portion of the vehicle AND replacement parts goes towards

Trump is just a symptom of Amercians don’t wanting anything with an US badge but not made at home anymore.

This is one of the main reasons I enjoy Autocross so much.

I think it’s a bit foolish at this point to expect to get a Hybrid Mustang that isn’t:

The R8 chassis is all aluminum. There may be carbon fiber body panels, but not in the chassis.

ABS tends to stop at about the same distance or slightly shorter than a full lockup

An engine that doesn’t really give you a kick of power until 3000 rpm is pretty useless in daily driving where you’re upshifting at 1750 rpm.

I employed two basic strategies: use MAXIMUM acceleration whenever I could safely and legally do so

So, you thought you could fix the world? And you’re bitchin about morons? That’s funny.

Yes, but false titles are considered perfectly acceptable because they grab peoples attention. I mean, we’re here, aren’t we?
