Idiots at the ‘Ring, turning yellow flags brown since day one.

The look of pure, unbridled joy on his face is wonderful. You know, just by that one image, that he is REALLY looking forward to this.

I can’t find any chassis info, but is the chassis and evolution of the Porsche LMP1-98, which was a Porsche branded and tweaked version of the Joest Racing WSC95, which was a mating of a Porsche engine and a old Jaguar XJR-14 chassis?
I’m just wondering, as it was already a long in the tooth chassis by 1998.
Anyway,

Might have been Rob Smedly, who went with him to Williams, don’t quote me on that though.

Nice bloke and a top driver. If it wasn’t for a bit of corruption, he could well have been a world champion.

I’ve always thought this was a nice looking car, and this one is very nice. However it will always be a ‘could have been’. By that i mean it could have been fantastic, but at best, was only quite good.
It might be worth that in a few years, but not now. CP (slightly reluctantly) for me.

Practically O.Ding on the CP.

Is this shit global? Because i’m UK based and would like to sign up.

With Fiat Punto headlights, and Nitrous!

I know i shouldn’t be, but i’m quietly impressed by these guys.
If they put these skills to something legal, they could probably get a job in laying on events or something.

Also appears to be lowered and have massive front brakes. So, someone’s been modifying the Bank’s car if it does have finance still outstanding.

Exquisite. If there was a way to get that sort of style through the red tape, i would love people to produce things like this today, with today’s reliability. Best of both worlds.

I’d spend a lot less on some seriously light aftermarket wheels. As 1kg of rotating mass is equal to roughly 3kg of overall weight.

That said, if you can afford the basic car, i doubt it’s your only one, so you’ll probably spring for the bling.

I would rob a bank to own a Lotus Carlton. So, yes.

The actual f*ck? No. CP to the Nth degree.

Mechaphilia by drunkeness. Well, there’s a first time for everything.

This style needs to come back in a big way. I wasn’t even a glint in my fathers eye when these things were rolling around, but i find it to be such a cool look.

It’s cool, but these haven’t ever done anything for me, so it’s a CP.

Does this mean we are likely to see some swoopy/sharp/odd looking aerodynamic rigs any time soon?

That is utterly lovely.
