If they’re going to set it in NuTrek (note: if) then I’d kind of like to see it in between the period of the movies and the period of TNG. Far enough out that they aren’t tempted to bring the movie actors in for cameos, not so far out that they’re doing cute things like “thank you for this report, ENSIGN PICARD!”
