Oh I agree - they will come up with a fix - but how long will it take? Their proposal has been sent in and it’s been under review for almost two weeks. Best case scenario is the EPA approves the fix this week, more likely another week or two though.

Not sure that matters right now until they can actually start selling their TDIs again... who knows how long that will be.
Neutral: It probably wouldn’t ramp up sales much, but maybe start selling the e-Golf in all 50 states. It might get some would-be TDI buyers in the door at least.
I think fuel prices are very relevant. While automakers don’t have control over them, they still are a big part of operating expenses of an automobile. The point I’m trying to make is that a ~20% improvement in fuel consumption over 13 years is all well and good, but pair that with a 67% increase in fuel costs and…
True - it probably doesn’t factor much into the decision when you’re talking about 2-3 mpgs.
Sure - I’m not saying there hasn’t been some advancement. But 15 years is a long time to only squeeze a few extra mpgs out of a car.
Seriously, this is getting up to Model S P85D range. And when you consider fuel consumption that is 550% higher, you are probably at about the same price in terms of Total Cost of Ownership. Not to mention, M5, E63 AMG, etc if gas is your thing.
21 mpg is a bonus? I feel like that’s pretty much par for the course.
If you are feeling adventurous, grab an E-Sys cable and look into coding - it’s fairly simple, and among a slew of other great tweaks, you can change your 3-blink to 4,5,6,7 or more blinks!
Here’s what happens, Samuel: these cars go to auction.
3rd Gear: What the hell ever happened to look both ways before you cross the street? I realize it’s real hard to take your nose out of your smart phone, but that doesn’t mean we need to make quiet things louder. I mean, that’s one of the huge benefits of Hybrids and Electrics - they reduce noise pollution and provide…
That’s what I’m really curious about- also interested to see how upfront VAG Is about said inevitable losses.
Neutral: The announcement of ROEV Association. This is big big news for the EV world. In short, it allows for users to use one payment card across multiple charging networks.
Timing Chain design from the 4.2L V8 used in B6/B7 Audi S4.
First, you design it to where you need to pull the engine completely if you need to do maintenance.
Then you spec a chintzy plastic guide that is prone to cracking, and if said guide breaks say ‘Bye Bye’ to your engine and child’s college savings.
I’m your local gas station misses you dearly, lol.
You are correct, the credit is a non-refundable credit, so it only applies to your actual liability. However, this applies only if buying/financing the vehicle - which very few people are doing with the i3.
When leasing, the $7500 credit is given to the leasing company (who will definitely get full benefit from the…
Yeah, the HK is worth the $800 in my opinion. It does a lot to raise the sound stage from your knees to your actual ears as well.
