And it is not that Diablo 4 isn’t fun to play. It often is fun. It just feels like accountants and programmers sat down and spent months analyzing the best ways to keep player interest while also pushing people into the Battlepass monetization game. A game designed for highest profitability.

Activision Blizzard isn’t available for streaming. Microsoft entered into an agreement with Nvidia to bring Microsoft + AB (provided deal goes through) games to GeForce Now. That opens up access to people who may not have it otherwise.

The level scaling and teleportation options in Diablo 4 are a bit over the top. It makes the game too easy during campaign. And while the map and storyline are okay to explore, the game really does get old unless you are a power leveler focusing on endgame seasons.

It just lost a lot of the danger and cinematic

Im 35 and in gamer years that would probably make me a boomer. I think this is a good example of why I dont play nearly as many games as I used to. All these games with all these timed battle passes, unlockables, currencies is just all too confusing for me to understand. Like reading this article and my brain is

Love the look of the gameplay but I hate the look of the game. I can’t get around the minecraft. If that makes me a snob then so be it.

The CEO is entirely correct. PlayStation forced exclusives to be the method any interested players must utilize in order to compete at all. Sony controls the market, they are the dominant player.

The FTC’s case has just been weak from the get-go. They say MS might turn previously multiplatform IP into exclusive IP. They say MS might give exclusive content to the Xbox versions of multiplatform games. Even if all of these things are true, they are standard practices in the videogame industry. Sony does them on a

Some good things in here but it still doesnt fix the core issue (that they’re looking into). Using crappy skills to slowly build resources just so you can use the cool skills is boring design.

Ethan, your fanboy is showing. Here’s the stuff that you left out.  This case has done nothing but make the FTC look ignorant.

With only Necromancers using shields and having no abilities that utilise them the way the Crusader did in III, I too am really hoping for a knight. Might even be able to work in the mount for some of the skills, though that could end up looking really goofy.

Yea, this all looks like smokescreen tactics to me. Granted acquisitions and mergers are never good for the consumer by default, but Sony probably needed to buy time for their Exclusive IPs to take shape, as the pandemic and chip shortages had to have delayed releasing their top games 3+ years into the console launch.

Sony? Full of shit? Why, that’s preposterous.

I’m shocked. It’s almost like the arguments against the merger are mostly contrived. Sony doesn’t want the deal to go through because they don’t want MS to gain any market share, even if Sony currently has more than double the market share of MS. This acquisition won’t double MS’ market share and even if MS does make

As long as Pikmin 4 doesn’t make you go through your 100-item inventory three times a minute, I’m gonna say it’s not suffocated in gimmicks. Freaking Zelda (which I enjoy a lot, but damn).

Elitist nonsense.

Funny, almost every game I've played on mine has looked fine and ran at 60fps. The only games that have struggled are those that are horribly optimized on every platform, ie Jedi Survivor.

If anything this whole showcase got me super hyped for the Xbox showcase. Sony anounced this after Phil’s now quite famous KindaFunny interview, and it really felt like it was a response to Phil looking lowkey excited about the upcoming Xbox showcase. Like you could tell Phil knew he couldn’t hype it too much because

They’re *massive* for a small business - LMG alone lists 76 employees on their “Our Team” page.

He’s got over 15 million subs on YouTube.  Your anecdotal lack of awareness of him does not negate his popularity.

I question the morality of linking his videos in an article about him being a murderer, but I imagine it’ll be hard for him to get paid for any of it now, right? At the very least, maybe the money can go to his now parentless daughter...
