I don’t love Halo Infinite multiplayer but the campaign is way worse.

I suspect there will be a lot of internet hype and the game will be just fine, but like most remakes, people will also forget about it pretty quick because once the nostalgia wares off, people go back to their persistent world RPGs and always-online open world games.
I often wonder why there are so few Jewish characters in video games, but after watching how these studios commercialize and fetishize Black identity, I guess I’m glad there aren’t.
It’s definitely a good generation to plan on getting both. Best of both worlds honestly. I tend to prefer multiplats on PS5, but Game Pass and Bethesda are worth the Xbox too.
Arc looks awesome. Surprised this and Hellblade weren’t mentioned. I don’t love fighting robots in video games (it feels... even more gamey than most video games, somehow) but it’s still a very interesting looking game that I can’t wait to learn more about.
It’s very pretty, I just hope the gameplay is a little more... well... gameplay than the first one, which was basically a moody third-person walking-between-scripted-animations simulator. Again, incredible trailer, and impressive animations since it looks playable, but I hope the gameplay is a little more open and a…
I’m surprised that wasn’t announced. I figured this would be teased as a tech demo and then end with the announcement of a new Matrix game. I’m sure it’s coming right? Just weird it wasn’t announced.
I have a PS5 and bought a Series S for anything Bethesda that I won’t be able to get on Playstation moving forward. It’s definitely a nifty little console, though I think it’s worth the extra $100 to buy a PS5 first.
That game was great! A little inconsistent but I think everyone I know who played agrees it’s awesome.
I’m still surprised by how positive most reviews have been. I find the open world to be pretty bland compared to most similar games. I’m also disappointed in the scale of the battles. Even with AI allies and enemies, taking an outpost is usually a 30-second affair, and most side quests are equally short.
Ghost Recon was pretty damn fun for a while. It’s fallen off in recent years. I don’t play much else they make. At this point I’m praying for them to succeed just to avoid Microsoft buying them or something.
It’s stupid but it’s hardly shady and it’s hardly any dumber than Valve’s marketplace. Honestly that bothered me more. The Valve marketplace blended DLC with price gouging. At least an NFT is honest about the absurdity of digital scarcity.
Breakpoint is actually thriving right now. It’s in really good shape. Naturally ubisoft sucks but the game isn’t bad right now.
It’s not a bad game but I’m a little puzzled by the extremely positive reception. Graphically it’s pretty disappointing. Even for an open world, it’s actually broken up into levels (or islands) and it’s fairly bare. The AI is still... eh. Lots of enemies backpeddling toward you, lots of Marines diving around the way…
It’s a shame Valve had (has?) such little interest in console support. The Orange Box was a very frustrating TF2 experience (hell, it wasn’t a great Half Life 2 experience either). I played mostly on PC, but I was excited to show my friends on Xbox and Playstation, but TF2 was abysmal on console. Overwatch basically…
The idea of worrying about spoilers in a Halo game is sort of funny to me, especially with 343's love of the goofier space wizard stuff rather than the grounded sci fi. I have not played the game yet (looking forward to it tomorrow!) but I suspect some aliens with elfish names you meet will die, and maybe a beloved…
Man, TF2 is just so, so good.
I don’t really like the audio callouts from the AI, from a purely competitive perspective, but I do think it’s well implemented and I think the entire package is definitely really well done.
PS NOW is basically Game Pass with a smaller library and more of a streaming focus, but you can download PS4/5 games (just like Game Pass works).
That’s very fair, though as a “Playstation guy” primarily I will admit I bough the Xbox Series S almost exclusively for the upcoming Bethesda games and to play a lot of Fallout and Elder Scrolls in the meantime. I’ve been a Halo fan since 2001 but I’m sick of it to the point where I don’t buy Xboxes for Halo anymore,…
