Probably forward, but very close. His feet appeared to be almost exactly at the 12 yd line when he released the ball. He was stretched forward, but at an angle, (not parallel to the ground), so that would likely put his hand a bit behind the 10 yd line and the ball hit in front of the ten, so probably a forward pass.
