What is it with you and back-up cameras? Back-up cameras are a great safety feature. If it can save a small child/toddler (or whatever, for that matter) from being run over...by all means, put them in every moving vehicle out there, and make it a standard.

I’m sure you do pay attention, and I agree that it’s generally safer to back in, although not always ideal and not as convenient. The third fatality was siting in her seat (42A) with her seatbelt on. She died 6 days later in the hospital from injuries sustained. I read that she was likely hit by the door behind her when it separated after the last impact. She was sitting close to the other two passengers that died, however.
