I spent a lot of time trying to package two electric motors in front to power the front wheels but it just won’t fit without relocating the ICE to the back like you said, and I didn’t want to do that. Someday in the future someone will make good electric hub motors, and then I’ll throw them on the front.

Where’d the center of gravity feel like it was, compared to a normal car / a normal SUV?

My 14 YO kid is bigger than him.

is that a pop funko security guard? adorable!

It’s not about feeling. We just really want the person tailgating to pay more attention.

The Giulia has the ZF 8 speed, right?

Opens trunk “HOLY SHIT THE ENGINE FELL OUT!!!”

Well here’s your problem. The engine’s in the wrong place!”

can something so overtly counter-culture to the products currently on sale by mainstream automakers appeal to people who don’t follow Elon Musk on Twitter

seems kind of funny that all their hemi powered v8s are fine its the miserable ecoboxes that can’t pass emissions

That’s literally what recalls are.

Just gotta jump in here and clear some things up.

You’re obviously generalizing, some I agree with and some I don’t.

Pssh, you know I’ve got that in an IV drip.

Strangely, I think this is a good thing... in a weird way. If some yahoo has figured out how to make any GPS system think it is in England 17 years from now.. then it is better to see this happen as a prank at a car show than just after someone using a GPS guided weapon has targeted something important in the middle

You seem to have a weird axe to grind here. He’s not complaining or saying they don’t have an option to make them differently. He’s making an observation relevant to the topic on which he’s been asked to speak.

While the painting is no doubt a tedious job, it’s nothing compared to the carbon layup / assembly. I’m not sure how Mercedes lays up their wings, that’s going to be a very closely guarded secret, but I know enough to make a good guess.

eh... im sure everyone will need more spare everythings

I once had a Mercedes team staffer explain to me that these wings were hand painted by an artist at the factory, and that everyone felt really bad for him/her (don’t remember) each time a front wing was destroyed.

“I’ll believe it when I see it.”
