I think for the last one of these, I watched it on HBO Max and fast-forwarded through any parts that did not have either Kong or Godzilla on screen.

I think they need to make a distinction here. There’s the first force user and the first jedi. Those are two different things. It doesn’t mean they couldn’t be the same person, but they are two very different things.
A ship can steer itself by having someone lash the wheel down. As long as you’ve got regular seas and winds, a ship will continue forward on the same course until it meets an object or wind that stops it or steers it.
It is much less dull than that, but just as dumb.
Actors will go where the jobs are.... the Marvel/DC rivalry only exists within overexuberant online fandoms. The idea that a past Marvel actor is so overly committed to their love of Marvel that they will refuse to cross over to the “enemy side” is absurd. Chris Evans will play Superman if it’s offered, his schedule…
“I don’t thing the Vong were the way to go, but there is something satisfying about the idea of Calamari Cruisers and Star Destroyers teaming up to defeat a greater threat.”
Honestly, I think that these problems were already there in season 2. As Filoni’s influence has grown, it’s become a more incestuous world, spending lots of time bringing back his pet characters, instead of forging ahead with its own story. That said, I did think season 1 was a bit overrated too — not bad, pretty good…
I started losing faith once Mando became a direct continuation of the Filoni-verse. I didn’t watch Clone Wars or Rebels. I know who Ahsoka is purely through cultural exposure but generally she doesn’t mean much to me. And it seems like S3 is just fully Filoni-versing it up, which I don’t care about.
thats because the show has become a “a nexus point” for other shows and its taking away from the main characters. which is an other point too is that the show isnt about it Din and Baby Yoda anymore. which is what made it popular in the first place. im not saying that the show shouldnt evolve, its just that when you…
Poor David Lowrey.
If it’s like the first season, complete on-offs with no connection to anything else, for the most part. Little Star Wars stories set in any time period with no connection to anything else. Part of why I enjoyed many of them so much.
Visions continues to bring me joy simply because it shows what creativity people are capable of when there’s a shared universe to play in and they are allowed to do it.

Syril Karn, who appears to have gone up in the world, and been thrust into a higher class of Imperial citizenship.
Pretty much every Shrek movie and spin off
... those movies are so utterly divergent I cannot for the life of me ascertain what rhetoric point you were trying to make about ‘films like that’ beyond critically successful.
No one—anywhere—expected the Mario movie to be the next Whiplash. At all. It never came up.
Children deserve good movies, too.

I adore Lizzo, but I found myself wishing they’d have cast Nicole Byer, who would’ve matched Black’s energy, and is a stronger actor IMO (Lizzo kept giving me “SNL host” vibes).
I do think it’s funny that Mando is so dead serious about the helmet belief, but he’s like, “OH MY GOD, this is so stupid. Take the Darksaber. Here’s a loophole.”
