The Han Solo stories we should have been given are the ones in between Episodes 4+5 and then post ROTJ — when he’s the Han Solo hero we want to root for and/or not being held by Jabba *
In last week’s episode, I was not surprised when they realized the asteroid approaching the ship was actually an *ice* comet because it had a tail — even though it has been made very clear the ship is in deep space and nowhere near a star that could heat a comet’s ice for it to form a tail.
Rhys Frake-Waterfield wants to be the Uwe Boll of taking classic children’s characters and turning them into horror movies.
That also reflected the time in which it was made. The first fifteen minutes or so are all about the Myers character, who’s presented as a normal person that a typical audience member circa 2004 could relate to. Four years later, superhero movies were much more popular, and Del Toro ditched Myers altogether to focus…
It’s a bit different for Hellboy because the comics themselves have been fairly consistent with their tone and direction as an indie title tightly helmed by its creator
Let’s see, the comics ran for a long time, the first two movies were incredibly well received with the second one leaving fans hoping for a 3rd installment that never came, so yeah after the most recent disappointment there’s a decent amount of fans hoping for some “good food” again.
I don’t know about enormous, but big enough that it’s a cottage industry in the comics. You wouldn’t believe how many spinoffs there have been, and the quality has somehow remained high throughout.
At this point the only Hellboy project I’d be genuinely excited about would be Hellboy III, though that’s not gonna happen since Perlman is too old for the role and Selma Blair has retired from acting due to her health. And even if that weren’t the case, Del Toro has a million other projects he’s busy with.
I can’t remember the movie, despite knowing I’ve watched it (because, Ian McShane) so I watched the trailer and I still can’t remember it.
didnt they say that for the last reboot?
Just... just no. Just make it stop.
I sure did :(
Hey, you clicked on it didn’t you?
Yeah mentioning R&M has always been a quick turn off for me and certainly won’t sell me on already disappointing sounding experience. Disney+ will do just fine to watch it at my leisure, in chunks, or not at all.
“What if the writers of Rick & Morty wrote a Star Wars prequel?”
Basically any Friday wide release technically opens at least on Thursday (and occasionally on Wednesday when there’s a holiday) these days, or they do at chain theaters in decent metro areas anyway. I’m pretty sure it’s a progression from the “midnight release” showings that I think started showing up around 2000 or…
anyway, which live action disney remake was great these days or ever
That’s like, your opinion man. I happen to disagree. I find the quantumverse perfectly fine visually, and while Avatar was pretty, it wasn’t prettier than Horizon Forbidden West or Subnautica, and those setting I can actually explore on my own.
I know it’s comics accurate, but yeesh. That costume of Caps. Hasn’t got any better through time.
