I would love to see Tony Gilroy’s take the Jedi and Sith

Advertising tends to be the hidden variable in this type of analysis, but I can’t say I’ve seen much advertising for this movie. I have to assume they’re counting some or all of the third movie’s production as well.

I didn’t care for Rogue One either. I just never knew anything about any character and it was hard to care about them.

Okay, but the originals were leagues better than Avatar. Now he’s building on a foundation of mud

Thank you. I haven’t been following Marvel stuff closely for a while.

I wonder if this is the last version we’ll ever see? or if we’ll get any glimpses of what sounded like a one man civil war?

It probably wasn’t. We’ll probably see that stable coins supposedly backed by dollars weren’t and a lot of the trade was backed by fake loans.

I feel like the easiest solution is to set new movies 100+ years in the future. All the ST characters are dead and they can basically choose which parts of the lore to acknowledge.

I guess I would go further and say JJ seems to have only ever consumed American blockbusters and doesn’t really have other references he can draw on to tell a story. He seems to consider slow moments to be due to budget limitations and his solution to make a better blockbuster is make it bigger and faster paced.

I know people loved him as Blackbeard, but I think he was too self indulgent in that role

I imagine they’re also having a hard time deciding on how they want to affect the state of the universe going forward. SW fans seem to have numerous incompatible ideas on what should happen while other big franchise fans seem happier to see what comes.

Now that you say it, I would watch a movie about del Toro’s itchy twitchy junkie hustling his way across the galaxy.

I think the trailer is actually really bad. It cuts together all the bombastic scenes when the anime is much more restrained.

I wonder if it doesn’t have a different cultural cache in Japan

Alright, guy, you convinced me to stan Avatar. I loved whosits and I can’t wait to see what happened the guy with the thing

I guess the argument “his movies makes a lot of money” is uncompelling, because it’s about his other movies and not excitement for the next one.

Corey Stoll was so underutilized in his role

I’ve been thinking about anime and live action adaptations. I think I was really into the concept when American animation was relatively cheap so a live action Spiderman would be a substantial upgrade.

I saw a lot of people predicting for years that the trans sports panic would lead to the end of woman’s sports. That it might even be half the point for certain conservative circles.

I was kinda hoping it would be Winston Duke.
