I (and many other people) thought the existence of "That's gonna leave a mark" in last year's Ghostbusters trailer was a huge red flag regarding script quality.
Yeah, I was disappointed at the end of season two because it felt like there hadn't been enough progress, and too much stalling. Seasons one and three are amazing in part because of how deliberate they are; season two is pretty good despite the glacial pacing.
Counterpoint: things seem creepy/violent/upsetting to you because you're all a bunch of babies.
