Did the Gizmodo author even read the “study” before making a gender bait post on Gizmodo? Science is more like “SCIENCE!” in this case. I think you should go back and actually read the article with an emphasis on understanding the statistics in it. If statistics isn’t your strong suit, find someone who does understand

All this really says is: Women who participate on GitHub are 5% more likely to have their code accepted than men who participate on GitHub. The fact that it’s limited to GitHub biases the population itself.

I really wish authors on here actually knew anything about science. First, I get that article headlines need to draw attention, but science does not prove anything. Second, the article suggests a bias in selection, not in quality of work, and especially not in quality of programming.
