I have a 2012 MBP with an SSD, it boots just as fast as before, but using it in general has been slower... it takes a few seconds longer to do anything, open photoshop, search in finder, etc.

Instead of paper towels, i use washable hand towels. less waste and saves much money. Not the silky ones, but the normal useful ones.
