“I guess I’m missing what’s so egregious here.”
Introducing a black character and then having a stand-in for all the story is actually a widespread complaint in media. Example, The Princess and the Frog mostly starring... a frog, and not Disney’s ballyhooed first Black Princess.
Oh boy, Metroid Fusion and Minish Cap? Like I’ve been able to play on the Wii U for 8 years? Not excited.
The people of Numbani aren’t African Americans. Orisa’s a robot and I can’t say I’d see many Black women finding a robot as the best form of representation.
Nah, I don’t think that’s a good enough answer, and I think it kind of misses the point.
I’ll push back on that a little. OW actually has a decent amount of ethnic diversity. 13 heroes of color (out of 32) including some less represented groups like indigenous Australians, Nigerians, and Haitians. And they do a decent amount of research for those characters, making them pretty authentic in multiple ways.…
I am deeply offended by this concept. It’s one thing to attempt to fix your internal issues by simply rolling out what some people think you should have done years ago, but this is just wrong.
Ah, yes. Blizzard, the company famous for an aversion to pandering....
Yeah, seriously. As somebody who went to a lot of anime conventions in the 2000's, it feels really weird to see what was just common cultural knowledge being treated like it’s some kind of esoteric secret.
I don’t know about that. I think Lester had enough experience with health care to trust the expertise of medical professionals, while hating the for-profit system they operate in. Ron would definitely be anti-vax and anti-mask.
Franklin isn’t really a character, but more the ‘muscle’ of the grand scheme of things from Michael and Trevor. We saw his personal life unfold in often worse ways and nothing was being learned, or anything to establish him as a character. That being said, his reasoning for killing Michael - probably because Michael…

If I wanted “adult” Pokemon I’d play some of the edgy romhacks.
While I don’t think Matthias should’ve quit, it is hard to reconcile the idea that someone you were friendly with, shared tips and tricks with, and communicated with on a semi-regular basis would go out of their way to hide the real records for over a year while everyone else was doing their best to beat lower ones.…
I call him “the joke character they added that made me way less interested in Overwatch” but it’s a bit of a mouthful.
For me, The “Bach” shows are just a game show. This blog post discusses the analysis of the show as a game by the hosts of the Game of Roses podcast.
I’ve watched the show with friends, and I find every “human” (they are really just avatars, anyways :) ) on the show to be loathsome. BUT I wouldn’t mind watching an…
Why is this blog post on Kotaku? How is this video game related?
The Octo Expansion for Splatoon was a full dlc campaign with new playable characters and weapons. Probably one of the biggest things they've done as dlc
Things this rotten aren’t invisible. Either he knew and chose to do nothing, or he chose not to see it. Either way, he didn’t ‘fail’ them. He *chose* to be part of the problem rather than the solution.
