And “debt collection” is code for a good old fashioned shakedown.

It’s Briticism, meaning “obnoxiously cutesy”, that Americans seem to have adopted recently.

I’ve found that in general, Asimov is better in theory than in practice. He was highly intelligent, but not very imaginative - great at extrapolating, but weak at inventing stuff. And his prose was, well, prosaic.

Was it actually banter, or was it just Fury being an abusive asshole?

In case someone’s still reading this...

In his version of Star Wars, Han Solo was raped in prison.

I think we have to accept the fact that being a victim doesn’t make you a better person.

He seemed visible annoyed throughout the episode.

Wah wah waaaaaaaaaaaah.

It was the guitar and sonic sunglasses that turned me off of Capaldi’s Doctor. He’s a fine actor, don’t get me wrong, but he came across less as “cool doctor” and more “midlife crisis doctor”. I was surprised he didn’t try to turn the TARDIS into a convertible.

This is why I laugh when people call Saving Private Ryan an “anti-war movie.” Right, because the man who directed the Indiana Jones films (and Schindler’s List, for that matter) was suddenly opposed to killin’ Nazis.

Isn’t Marvel Studio’s success ultimately based on their hiring of a man who was, at the time, the world’s most infamous substance abuser? I suspect there are people there who told themselves, “If we had vetted RDJ, we wouldn’t have been here, so let’s take some risks”.

That’s a feature, not a bug.

She’s better known as “the other woman from Basic Instinct”.
