Yeah. Everyone talking about gold as having value because of complex economic reasons is forgetting that if gold looked like lead it would be next to worthless. Gold is valuable because humans like shiny things, and gold is shiny. Any other value it may have is dependent  from that.

TOS regularly had extragalactic entities crossing the Barrier to mess around with Kirk and the gang. One could even turn into a giant cat.

So it’s a remake of Prince of Jutland (1994)? No offense to the new movie’s cast, but I don’t think they can match Christian Bale, Helen Mirren, Gabriel Byrne, Brian Cox, Kate Beckinsale, Tom Wilkinson and Andy Serkis.

Value is tied to both supply AND demand. Crypto guys always forget the second one.

It’s a well-made movie, but it’s also the film where Spielberg lost his moral center. I’m sorry, but the genetically-engineered monsters are not the good guys. Vince Vaughn and Julianne Moore were both murderers, and Pete Postlethwaite should have been the movie’s protagonist.
