Good thing none of us have any negative memories attached to oil rigs. (I had a twin towers joke, but I couldn't bring myself to type it out.)

This Qui-Gon comic is an odd one. I'll try it out, but the prequel jazz is really hit and miss. And authors seem to always want to dumb down Qui-Gon's story (it might be that he's always surrounded by children).

I can't imagine having any sexual memories connected to Waterworld. I have an imaginary stench that seems to infect me whenever I see pictures of Kevin Kostner or hear the name of that movie said aloud. I'm afraid it'll be the smell that one day warns me of an oncoming stroke.

First of all, I'm pretty impressed with all the commenters. A lot of you are talking about the fervour over Renly and Loras, but there really isn't anything brewing. First of all it's fantastic that there isn't any blatant homophobia (not that I expect that on io9), secondly I'm thrilled that there aren't a lot of

I've been under the assumption that the Starks (and Daenerys) are blank slates. They're being thrust into a world of complex characters with incredible back-stories and this is their story from start to finish. We're supposed to feel proxied by them.

It's a strange new perspective. You'll be surprised at how much you see in the show that isn't in the first book. Of course it's coming a mile a minute and you may have been distracted by the eye candy (of one form or another), but there is a lot there.

Don't worry, in the game it'll be a choice. So he probably won't surprise you by coming out of the closet right before you bang Miranda.

Maybe not.

That True Blood trailer seems to be the same one that they put up a couple days ago. This one is new though.

This is all I see when I hear his name. I wish that could be a gif.

I've learned not to get emotionally attached to anything on Network TV. It's a cut-throat business and quality counts for next to nothing.

Dali was the best at capturing the feeling of a waking dream. Everything is familiar but grotesque. To describe it in words wouldn't really describe it at all. Objects and people transform depending on your perspective. There's a frightening edge to everything, but when you're experiencing it you never feel afraid. I

I just made them. I have to work on getting them crispier, but I'll try again.

You don't see these kinds of futuristic guesses anymore. Is it that we're less ambitious these days, or just that we have confidence that technology will exceed our imaginations?

I think I understand the difference between yams and sweet potatoes, but does anyone know if they're interchangeable in this recipe?

If I go get Paprika at the store would it be smoked paprika, or is that something special?

It sounds like that was the first place they looked. Good thing they didn't first dig a well in some remote part of Africa or take core samples in Antarctica.

The job of playing Bruce Wayne/Batman doesn't look like it's very rewarding. The villain roles are far more interesting and entertaining.
