She’d be wasted as VP (and VP isn’t really a path to President these days). I’d want her raising hell in the Senate. While her seat would be safe, I’d generally prefer that any Democratic administration fill cabinet positions with non-sitting members of Congress or governors.

He’s nonthreatening and vaguely likeable—Democratic version of George W. “I’d like to have a beer with that guy” Bush.

I immediately thought of that...as a cautionary tale of when concepts get too conceptual.

We probably could’ve used a bit of a definition of terms. By the loose standard that made Sgt. Pepper’s generally regarded as the first concept album, many, many contemporary ones would qualify. I’ll skip the many jazz/instrumental, electronica/ambient, and hip-hop albums I like that probably would. In the all-time,

I disagree with this premise. The issue here isn’t really sharing. Or even having easily hacked passwords. The main issue (as mentioned) is that people still reuse the same password and email combinations across sites—which have likely been compromised and circulated long ago. They aren’t getting on lists because

6'3”, my ass.

But that would mean he’d just be rehired the next season. There’s no winning.

“This thing with the drugs and the different pockets of the neighborhoods where it’s going on.”

Wut. I think you and most people here are mixing up liberalism with neoliberalism—which, in oversimplified terms, means nearly the opposite for practical purposes in 2019. That guy you described is ardent proponent of free market trade, deregulation of financial markets, individualisation, and the shift away from

I think that’s true but that’s what happenes when the show is predicated the listener being encouraged to make an assessment of his guilt yet they do a lousy job of objectively evaluating all of the evidence. The investigative vs. documentary style is what was enthralling but also problematic in this respect.

Of course it is. It’s one-sided argument against the one-sided argument of the prosecution. This is the #1 criticm of it but in the responses that cricics make, including those involed with the original case, I don’t see credible challenges to the facts they presented or even their conclusions.

Every time I read Adnan and Serial in the same sentence I get agitated. I certainly don’t know if Adnan did it or not but I sure as hell know Serial did a poor of investigating the case and then presenting it as if they had effectively done so. I always implore anyone who thinks he did it based on Serial alone to

Hooray! Request to be ungrayed in order to participate in the barfing.

I thought of the military base being related to the helicopter. I guess we don’t know exactly how far it is but it seemed close enough to Oceanside that he would’ve found his way back if he were ever there but maybe they had to abandon it for reasons. There’s obviously a narrative reason that she is the one going so I

So Alpha has to kill Carol. Then Negan has to kill Alpha. Then Maggie has to come back to kill Negan, I guess? Only question is what happens to Michonne so Danai can move on.

Yes. I think OP means infect with normally occurring but potentially dangerous bacteria vs. the zombie virus or whatever.

Which would not be the commonly understood definition of a neoliberal in 2019.

I do know what neoliberalism is and I didn’t call you an idiot. Please tell us more about the AV Club’s neoliberal agenda.
