I had a friend in HS who used to watch this movie with me at least once a week in study hall. He’s a cargo pilot now, and it really pains me that I never got to congratulate him for now being able to “fly cargo planes full of rubber dog shit out of Hong Kong”.

The original is the one movie my wife can quote verbatim. Like, every line. Even the “hey” that the girl says when they first walk in to the bar. She’ll be there at the midnight showing.

During the 80s, the Hollywood profitability ratio was 12 to 1. We made $12 of ticket money for every one of ours spent. During the 90s, that ratio fell to 3 to 1. This movie is going to full of plot holes, inaccuracies, and overall will probably be pretty stupid.

I’ll see it in theaters at least three times, I’m guessing.
