Idk if this has to do with it, but my friend assists a major makeup artist in Hollywood and said that the past day has been a nightmare with changing dress choices because no one wants to show up in a giant sparkly golden ballgown when so much shit is happening in the country. There’s been a lot of concern about

Do we have confirmation it’s actually Trump and not Bannon watching Finding Dory? Also, where the fuck is Pence in all of this? He might hate homosexuals, but even he knows this ban is fucked up.

Bannon would just keep writing them.

Perversely, I was wondering if George W. Bush might have some impact-if he went in on a statement with Obama and Bill Clinton condemning this. Remember that right after 9/11, he visited a mosque and said Islam was not our enemy. And even Dick Cheney trashed Trump’s proposal for a Muslim ban before the election.

People who can need to do what the Tea party did: Show up at Congress’ office doors. When they come home and hold town halls, show up there. The effectiveness of the phone call thing seems really hit and miss, depending on the representative you’re calling.

I just donated all of my Christmas money (which I did not even want—because I wanted them to actually try to think of a GIFT) to the ACLU in my Republican, pro-Trump parents’ honor. I am patiently waiting for the fallout.

Now that would be hilarious, and probably a good idea... even if it gets a bad reaction.

Let’s not forget we can call the phone numbers for all of t***p’s properties. I read yesterday where this is OK now that it’s in office..it’s official communication

We need organization and we need leadership. I fully support the organic movements and everyone who has stood up in their own community, this is also necessary. In a time of crisis, however, this is when the platform, wealth and power that certain people have sought and successfully accumulated becomes a moral burden

From an institutional perspective I agree. However, people are power. The move now should be to force those choikenshits in Congress who know this is wrong to admit with overwhelming popular opinion about this. They are mostly spineless and trust in the wind. We just need to make the wind stronger then their base &

I don’t have any friends that voted for Trump, but I do have a strain in my family. I don’t know what to do about them. I’m actually Canadian, btw, but I have an American uncle and cousin who are vocal trump supporters. I don’t know what to do about them. If I shut them out, I lose all opportunity to change their

Not saying this will be easy and it will be a battle in the courts. There are lots of advocacy groups that will take on this cause and many of them are joining ranks & pooling resources.

I think this is a bridge too far this time. I don’t believe this will stand to legal scrutiny given the religious test. This kind of nonsense will create opposition that these assholes have not seen before.

Most Republicans I know feel this way — that their party is wrong. They need to be speaking UP.

...and then there’s that. I’ve started by muting a bunch of folks on FB, but as this progresses, I wonder “Do I really want to be associated with this person?”

I had that thought too. Everyone that owes money, file an extension.

God, I just hope that the world can see the protests and know that the actual majority of the American people do not want this. This is why the protests and the people holding those signs are needed...they can’t just stop after a few days/weeks.

I wish we could set up secret shelters for refugees and others who are persecuted. They did it during Nazi Germany, after all.

This is a violation of the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965. If you call officials, make sure that you point out that this is unconstitutional, in violation of current laws, in addition to being immoral.

Yeah, that’s the guy we want in charge of stuff, a low-rent Jabba the Hutt.
