I love Peggy and Stan but you wouldn’t really call it a slow burn. A slow burn is when you spend a lot of time wondering if something will happen. Peggy and Stan was a surprise that didn’t seem in any way planned (in their fictional lives or by the writers) but still made sense. It worked great, but the romance aspect…
No fire exits?! Is that...LEEEGAL?!
Not to sympathize too much with well off tech bros, but I would find all that pretty fucking uncomfortable too.

I haven’t seen it in 30 years so maybe I would react differently now. I don’t know if it’s a criticism or a validation of the movie, but I remember my sense at the time was this just wasn’t entertaining. I didn’t want to spend two hours walking around in someone else’s grief. And, inevitably, there is this blending of…
My primary memory of this movie is of walking out feeling depressed but also annoyed at having my own angst packaged and sold back to me. I expressed my dislike of the experience to my friend, who took it very personally and accused me of “artistic fascism.” We probably had a conversation on the way home about which…
My hot take is that the sequel trilogy would be well-regarded, even celebrated, had ROS stuck the landing instead of being such a mess it ruined not just itself but (at least) two other movies.
It’s almost weirdly great line in series known for bad dialogue. Granted, it only exists to express a political sentiment and is characteristically devoid of human feeling, but still great just on its own.
You. You are still talking about the Tom Brady roast. I am doing no such thing. One plus zero equals one. There is no “we” here.
The battle droids are fucked up. Hey, here are some funny enemies that can be mowed down without a prick of conscience! War is cool! Also their voices are grating.
Man. I’ll never be able to watch Terror Train without finding him vaguely creepy again. What a huge change.
Let me be the first of many to say that being groped and slobbered on by Francis Ford Coppola at any age, but especially now, gets me horny as HELL. No need to reply, I know everyone agrees.
Ordinarily I would agree but Hassenger has been an engaged prequel apologist for some time. I actually do think his take, whatever you think of it, is a labor of love.
I couldn’t disagree with you more, but I enjoy your passion for the subject and willingness to articulate the strengths of something you love. The prequels are terrible and that will never change, but you shouldn’t either.
Hi Buttsoup.
You mean the fascists? No Tim. I’m not saying that. No one is saying that. That wasn’t said. Saying one side of the political spectrum has cultural issues does not mean the other side is a-ok. It’s just feedback man. Put your dukes down and process.
Buddy, it’s a little light trolling not a political treatise. If you want to discuss something feel free to make a point.
I meet younger people all the time. Most of them are great. But there are sometimes issues just like there were issues in my generation. Sorry if that idea is offensive. I can’t change reality.
