Your graphics shouldn’t cook itself. Graphics cards aggresively throttle these days, including the 970. It simply won’t let itself.

He does a perfectly fine job doing the inflections expected when reading Civ quotes but I find his voice simply too mellow.

I think it looks pretty fantastic for a SNES game, and even for today indie “standards”.
