You should take a class about domestic abuse. Look into what's offered in your area.

Either Sanford or Altamonte PD puts survivors in touch with an advocate on every DV call (Orlando PD does too. They’re actually the pilots of the program, but in a different county). It’s had a big impact on reporting around here.
