August and Everything After is a great album. Not lame at all.

E: What’ll we do, what’ll we do!

Solidarity over here. And I want to share these words I copied from another Kinja commentor a while back. I think they will speak to you too.

was just thinking the same thing

Maybe I’ll do some angry cleaning later. I’m exhausted by this election. I can’t wait for it to be over. Actually, I’m going to go high-five and support the workers who are striking outside my work right now. That will feel good.

This is such a fucking text book Narcissist’s Non Apology! I don’t really ever use this term. But this shit triggered me. I’ve heard these kind of bullshit “apologies” from my shitty family for so long. I just want to punch a wall right now.

Also, Harvard is a Non-profit that is exempt from taxes. It is not just a “company”.

I work at Harvard. Not in this department but you nailed it. These are exactly the issue. The food workers I know also get there schedules shifted year over year and aren’t told the new hours until late August. How do you arrange child care? It needs improvement and could easily be better. I support their strike.

Not too long ago Harvard students “occupied” the presidents’ offices for support of the janitorial staff. So HamNo has good reason to believe they’ll go in for the Food Service employees.

From where will they bring these people in? Do you have any idea what the cost of living in MA is? Especially in the Cambridge/Boston Area. The minimum someone needs to earn here to afford a 2 bed apt is $24/hr.

And jobs that are a lot less necessary.

I’ve deactivated my account for the duration of the election season. This is a good incentive to stay gone.

I’m sure Gerry Callahan will let them have their air-time.

That’s just textbook Narcissitic Personality isn’t it.

exactly!

My 6 year old regurlarly places his ghostface mask in random creepy places. One day it was peeking through the crack in the door as I came up from the basement after doing laundry. He had it on the Rock Band mic stand so at first I thought he was wearing it waiting to scare me. Some how that made it even creepier.

So many things in life are decided simply because of timing.

It was Massachusetts. But the legislature quickly closed the loophole after the case.

I believe MA did immediately fix that loop hole. Here’s the article. I was happy to see such a swift response.
