You don’t seem to be understanding the reality of the situation. Not everyone who speaks at the university was invited by the school. Speakers like Richard Spencer are paying the school to speak, not the other way around.

It’s common practice we hear about often -universities pay a fee to some expert or famous person to come in and speak, and usually attendance is free to their students or even to the public, and I don’t see how that’s a profit engine.
