That episode is so bad and so not like the others. I always warn newbies away from it entirely.

Sure but that’s quite a bit different than once a week.

Dirty dishes for a week is a health hazard. Cat pee in the sink is a health hazard. Dirty litter boxes are a health hazard. You don’t have to be OCD to not be gross, or to point out genuine health hazards.

Many people offered specific advice about the cat. An no one blamed her for the cat’s actions, they blame her for HER lack of action about the cats behavior.

We are talking about ongoing behavior here. If your regular behavior is as was described, then you are not a kind and thoughtful person. It doesn’t require perfection, it does require that it not be a regular thing.

Putting dirty dishes in the washer is doing the dishes. And you certainly don’t have to be “obsessed with cleanliness” to think it’s gross to leave dirty dishes out for a week or let your cat pee in a sink. I also think people conflate “don’t know how to clean.” with “don’t want to clean” and use the former as an excuse for the latter.  

Ok, but are they sitting out attracting flies? Or did you put them in the dishwasher while you waited for it to fill up and run it?

I’d call putting dirty dishes in the dishwasher, even if it’s not run because it’s not full, “doing the dishes”.

Every cleaning product ever sold has instruction it for it’s use.

This person knows how to clean, they just don’t WANT to.

Oh and PS - my terrible step father charmed everyone he met too.

You are an excellent example of a snooty asshole who thinks having to do basic life skills is beneath them. That doesn’t make a person smarter, it just makes them an asshole.

The harassment calls, yes. The boyfriend incident, yes. And no, unless there was actual abuse, it was not mandated to be reported. and “once the school called because I refused to put my son on medication for ADHD.” Total bullshit.  

The person relating the first story also admits she purposefully lied to a psychologist that could have actually HELPED her
