I rarely so strongly disagree with an AVClub review, but I thought this episode was a steaming pile of shit. I was so bored by the end that I didn’t even care about the big reveal. It was pretty much 40 minutes of exposition interrupted by a Ford Mustang ad.

She was a flight attendant. I expect getting people tea was pretty ingrained for her.

Completely agree that the old show was often very sexist. But I feel finding a way to call out the insidiousness of the old sexism would’ve much more powerful than calling out the cartoonish sexism they wrote for 1 in this episode.

A lot are rushing to criticize 13 criticizing 1, saying the old show wasn’t that overtly sexist. But it actually was pretty damn sexist, even if it wasn’t overt. The female companions were usually patronized and objectified. Their dialogue was often totally stupid, even by the low standards of the old show. Even Sarah

I hope nobody’s taking Seth Macfarlane seriously as an atheist or agnostic thinker, or even a skeptic on the subject of religion. As with “Majority Rule”, Macfarlane took some aspect of contemporary society he didn’t much like at all, and took it to an extreme conclusion as a way of expressing his dislike.

It’s not so much that as a sort of hamfisted take on the whole idea of how religion works. Like, it’s not “people see some weird shit and make up a bunch of rules around it”- the way religions develop is hugely influenced by other social power structures. Christianity without the support of the Emperor of Rome, who

I am somewhat relieved to hear this is pretty good. The last season wasn’t terrible, but it was kind of running on fumes. Hopefully three years off gave them a recharge, and they roll one of these out every year or so.

He played Cain on Supernatural and was fantastic at it

Especially because you know Dule has his dad’s number, so it’s not like they couldn’t get to him :)

What great news! I loved these guys and this show. Admittedly the last couple of seasons weren’t as good as the earlier ones, but that happens. They had such great chemistry. I wish both of them had had more success after Psych and still hope they will. I have a bunch of episodes on my DVR and I play them when I’m

I’m attempting to cut through all the unnecessary snark, and I still have no idea what this article is trying to say. Are you mocking people for being prudish about Game of Thrones? Are you mocking Emilia Clarke for embracing the nudity? Do you have any idea at all what your point of view is on this?

I mean, it’s not a sequel to the original movie (which I have never seen) but another adaptation of the same book. There’s literally no reason for him to take anything of Lynch’s or even consider it in any way.

Laura Dern has bravely come forward to share that one of the T. Rex from Jurassic Park told her he had a bone for her, and offered to disprove the stereotype that they were bad with their hands. The T. Rex attempted to explain his behavior by saying he was from a different era.

‘Alan Smithee’s Dune’.

David Lynch is also not a fan of David Lynch’s Dune and would like everyone to stop calling it David Lynch’s Dune.

Would his Dune movie be considered a remake of the first? Since the book is better known than the movie, I think another movie would be considered just another adaptation of the book rather than a remake of the first movie.

I’m just so used to “<Name> accused by <Name> of sexual assault,” that I was about to throw my phone in hopelessness for a brief moment there.

I was all set for Dril to turn out to be famous actor Jack Nicholson.
