I never checked, but good luck. I’ve heard from a lot of other people that had the same problem and its now fixed for them too.

I was under the impression that external HDDs with their own power source were cheaper than portable HDDs per GB.

You only need the Y cable if you use a portable HDD, ie one that doesn’t have its own power cable. If you use a normal external desktop HDD, you only need a single USB cable.

Everything loaded up fine. I had a bunch of dead explorers because they have been out in the Wasteland for over a month, but other than that everything is good to go.

I just re-enabled it and downloaded the update and my game is working now. Assuming your issue was the same one that I had where it would start to load, then crash back to the your home screen, it should be good to go.

Yeah, that is what I assumed and it would be strange for them to put Xenoblade out on the same day as Star Fox. But Nintendo is known for updating their release schedule, and the other article isn’t sourced, just says it is from a press release.
