the tease in the picture is like laughing at us for knowing we can’t have it.

Seconded

NO! that would mean Dodge would have to try and do something remotely right

I don’t think a run of 501 would have much impact on the CAFE rating.

These things approach 200 MPH, so the big wing may be an issue. Or there’s just no market for it, and they sell enough of them without.

Apparently they raised the redline slightly.

Well, you know, they’re worried about the gas mileage penalty from the extra drag.

You should see the hate I get when I call them fender flares on the facebook groups. I have a Charger Scat Pack, so when the fender flare charger was announced, I never understood the excitement.

I respectfully disagree.

The EPA allows slight leeway, somewhere around 1-2%, IIRC. They could literally up the number and change nothing.

I like the normal ones, but the Widebodies are just bad.  Keep the Pep Boys fender flares at home, Dodge.

Is there a reason this car doesn’t have the ridiculous wing on the back? I’m guessing the pointy nose would be problematic for crash/homologation, but how does Dodge keep making these Daytona Chargers without putting a bookshelf on the back?

I know. I think they could have at least tried to make one with a subtle nod to the original. Maybe just 4-6" high?

It’s the Daytona stickers, obviously.

10hp represents a ~1.5% increase in power. Could be the byproduct of any number of minor changes.

I’m slightly disappointed it isn’t available with that sweet two story spoiler.

This is what I’ve been waiting for. I just told a salesmen the other day that“if it doesn’t have at least 715 horses, you might as well be driving a Yugo.” I’m sold.
