I can’t imagine needing to evacuate and not being able to find anyone to take me with my dog. There is no way in hell I would leave my dog behind to starve, drown, or be crushed. The family is sick in the head and they will be holding out hope even when there is nothing more than a skeleton on the damn bed. This isn’t about the little girl, it’s about them and them alone.
