I probably have one of the highest mileage S54 M Coupes out there, and I’ve driven it everywhere. From the Arctic Ocean to San Diego. It’s the best car I’ve owned, including an NA1 NSX, an AP1 S2000, an EVO 8MR... There’s just something about it. And these days, people love it more and more; the controversy is long

I’ve told this one a few times, and even wrote an article for you guys here, but it’s failed to gain traction around here... It’s been everywhere else. Petrolicious, Expedition Portal, etc...

Not totally accurate, though. Turbofans are used in pretty much all modern supersonic fighters; the GE-F110 is a low-bypass turbofan used in the F-14, F-15, and F-16. The F-22 and F-35 also use turbofans.

Whoa.

If you want to make F1 better, you need to make the cars worse. The biggest way to do that would be to put a manual gearbox back in. Cutting edge? Not at all. Brings a skill and room for mistakes back in? Absolutely. It would be something to see, that’s for sure.

I’ve got 162,000 miles on my S54 in my 2001 M Coupe. Hasn’t missed a beat, even in the snow. It’s been all over the world, too. Whether on gravel, ice, the track, etc.... I haven’t had any big issues. I lost a TPS sensor, and that was it. Just regular maintenance... (And even then, that slacks.)

The vast majority of ILS approaches aren’t certified for a full autoland. Not even close.

Driving uninsured in Canada, or at least Alberta, isn't criminal. It's a $2300 TSA ticket that goes up with multiple convictions.

Who’s Aleshin? A nobody? How many championships has Bourdais won? He’s earned the right to point all he wants.

Amazing.

M Coupes. Dealers couldn’t get rid of them, even at a discount. Now their price tag is outrageous, and only going up! Glad I got mine years ago.

I drove the entire PCH from Seattle to San Diego in my Clownshoe. It was amazing.

Not to nitpick, but the slot position for the Blues is #4.

You haven’t watched “A Few Good Men”? Shame on you, sir. It is most excellent, as all of Aaron Sorkin is.

I don’t think any Clownshoe has had dirtier wheels than I...

I did 1500 kms of “off road” on a highway above the arctic circle

I feel like I have the most Jalopnik-y picture ever taken because of this article, then. My Clownshoe in front of USS Iowa.

Great article! I think you hit the nail on the head.... But I still look for F355s all the time. I'd love to try and daily drive one, and see how futile that effort might be!
