Pretty much anytime someone gets “fuck you” money they instantly become a Republican. As soon as someone gets a big paycheck they INSTANTLY forget about all of the other people and infrastructure that made their paycheck possible.

Ironically, Barry was probably the one that wrote most about sports.

Something just occurred to me, this stick to sports memorandum has absolutely driven me to visit Deadspin today much more frequently than I typically visit.

I love Scarborough’s presumption to speak for all of us. I very much do want the world hearing us chant ‘lock him up’ about this president. I want the world to know how deeply many of us despise the loser and everything he stands for. The idea that no president should ever be publicly jeered is such banana republic…

Agreed. I don’t give a single whit about sports, but Deadspin won me over with solid content over the years. These sites are on a very short list of content I’d legit pay for.

This article is very good. If your bosses ever shut you down I do hope you and some departed Deadspin and Gawker writers will set up some sort of worker-led site funded through subscriptions or Patreon or something. I would pay $15 a month or so to read your columns, which I have to imagine is more than my page views…

Also, and not to sound like my toddler, Trump started it! Nobody would chant “lock him up”, as well-deserved as it is, if he didn’t lead those chants at his rallies. Without his chants, people there would have just booed him. That’s it.

He doesn't go anywhere in which he doesn't control who is allowed to attend.

The fact that Trump can go anywhere without being cursed at is a testament to how often we give too much respect to assholes and despots who don't deserve. The only thing that would've made me prouder of the area that I live in is if they had started an "ASSHOLE" or "FUCK YOU TRUMP" chant.
