What little success they had in agriculture spurred the 1941 internment because the ant-Asian groups resented the farming competition.

Oh absolutely! California has a loooong history of being shitty to immigrants from Asia. From the terrible conditions at Angel Island to the exploitation of Chinese labor during the gold rush to the internment and robbery of Japanese Americans during WW2, it’s all been a terrible, terrible mess.
